Clearcue and MultiFollow both show up when you search for B2B buying signals and Linkedin timing. They do not do the same job.
Clearcue positions itself as a GTM signal engine: real-time, person-level intent across Linkedin, social, jobs, conferences, podcasts, news, and events, with AI qualification, signal stacking, and natural-language signal creation, delivered to Slack, webhooks, CRM, or Clearcue MCP. MultiFollow is a named watchlist: you paste Linkedin and X (Twitter) profile URLs you already care about, and you get anonymous near-real-time alerts when those accounts post, comment, or (on Linkedin people) like, delivered by email, Slack, or API webhooks into Clay, n8n, Zapier, or your CRM.
We build MultiFollow, so you should know that up front. This is not a "rip out Clearcue" post. If multi-source discovery of in-market people and accounts, plus stacked AI-qualified alerts, is the motion, Clearcue is shaped for that. If you already have a shortlist and need infrastructure that pings #signals-outbound the second Elena comments on a competitor thread, MultiFollow is the layer for that. They overlap on "public behavior can tell you someone is worth a conversation today." Everything else is a different product.
Most teams land on this comparison after one of two Tuesdays.
Tuesday A (discovery / intent stacking). The ICP is clear, but the open question is who is in-market now across jobs, conferences, podcasts, news, and social engagement, not only on a pasted URL list. The team wants natural-language signal definitions, AI qualification so Slack is not a firehose, and stacked signals that rank a prospect higher when three weak indicators land on the same person. That is Clearcue's core pitch.
Tuesday B (activity / reply-first). Maya already knows Elena is the VP on the Northline deal this quarter. The problem is not discovery. The problem is that Elena's 2:04pm Linkedin comment ("We're looking at replacing our WMS before Q4") never left the Linkedin UI while the thread was still empty of vendors. That is MultiFollow's job: instrument a list you already chose.
If you confuse those Tuesdays, you buy the wrong shape. An intent / signal-stacking engine will not give you a simple anonymous firehose of every post, comment, and like from URLs you paste. A named watchlist will not invent net-new in-market people from podcasts, job boards, and conference speaker lists.
Clearcue (clearcue.ai) positions itself as "The GTM Signal Engine": real-time B2B intent across Linkedin, social, job boards, conferences, podcasts, news mentions, and industry events. Per their public FAQ and site (February / September 2026), it delivers person-level alerts (not only account-level weekly digests), uses AI to qualify companies and filter noise, stacks multiple signals on a person or company into a higher-priority trigger, and lets you describe signals in natural language. Delivery includes Slack, email, webhooks, CRM sync on higher tiers, and Clearcue MCP for AI workflows.
MultiFollow is anonymous real-time tracking of Linkedin and X account activity as sales signals. You paste profile URLs (or CSV-import on Business+). Tracking does not follow or connect; they are never notified.
A sales signal here means a public event that suggests someone may be ready to talk. A stacked intent hit (competitor engagement + relevant job post + conference appearance) is one kind. A comment on a competitor pricing thread from a named VP is another. MultiFollow tracks what named accounts say and react to on Linkedin and X. It does not track employment changes, conference speakers, podcast guests, funding news, or job-board postings as first-class events.
Named watchlist vs multi-source intent discovery. A watchlist starts with URLs you already chose. Clearcue starts from signal definitions that discover and qualify people/accounts showing buying behavior across many sources. Clearcue is discovery-and-stacking-first. MultiFollow is watchlist-only.
Signal stacking. Combining several buying indicators on the same person or company so one weak like ranks lower than three correlated behaviors. Clearcue markets this as a core feature. MultiFollow does not score or stack; each activity event is delivered as-is (you can filter with keywords, then score in Clay or your own logic).
A webhook. A URL that receives a POST when something happens. On MultiFollow Business+, each tracker can send JSON (platform, profile URL, timestamp, link, post/comment text, activity type) to Slack, Clay, n8n, Zapier, Make, or a CRM. Email works on every plan.
Strip the slogans and Clearcue is roughly four things, based on their public homepage, FAQ, and pricing page:
Pricing (verify live on clearcue.ai/pricing; FAQ numbers as of Feb/Sep 2026): Starter €99/mo or €79/mo annual (7 active signals, unlimited users); Pro €249/€199 annual (25 signals + company AI qualification); Scale €549/€439 annual (75); Enterprise custom. The pricing page also frames a 7-day unlimited-leads trial. An "active signal" in their model is a defined intent indicator you configure (unlimited alerts per signal), not a MultiFollow-style profile tracker. Always re-check before you buy; older roundups and the live pricing UI can diverge.
Pick Clearcue when the bottleneck is "who is in-market across many sources, qualified and stacked," not "ping Slack the second this known VP comments."
MultiFollow does one unglamorous job well: watch accounts you name, anonymously, and push activity out of the Linkedin / X UI.
| Target | Activity |
|---|---|
| Linkedin person | Posts, comments, likes |
| Linkedin company / showcase | Posts only (not company comments or likes) |
| X (Twitter) person or company | Posts + replies. Not likes (private since 2024) |
What we do not track: job changes, follower counts, engagement-audience scraping (who liked an arbitrary viral post), Facebook / Instagram / TikTok / YouTube, built-in enrichment or intent scoring, native HubSpot / Salesforce apps, InMail, Boolean people search, or TeamLink. We do not discover net-new prospects from an ICP description or natural-language signal. We do not draft or send outreach. We do not monitor conferences, podcasts, news wires, or job boards as first-class sources.
Filters: up to 10 include and 10 exclude keywords per tracker (each 2–200 characters). Keywords apply to posts and comments, not likes (likes have no text).
Delivery: email on every plan. Slack + API webhooks on Business and above, including per-tracker Slack/webhook URLs so prospects and competitors do not land in the same Clay table.
Freshness: paid plans are near real-time (typically seconds after detection, up to about a minute if congested). Free is best-effort.
| Plan | Price | Linkedin + X trackers | Delivery extras |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 1 + 2 | Email; best-effort |
| Essential | $19/mo | 5 + 10 | Near real-time; email only |
| Business | $79/mo | 25 + 50 | Slack, API webhooks, REST API, MCP, bulk CSV, team |
| Enterprise | $199/mo | 100 + 200 | Same + advanced support |
| Agency | Custom | Multi-client | Custom |

Those products overlap on "Linkedin-related behavior can mean buying timing." They do not overlap on multi-source discovery, stacked AI intent scores, anonymous seconds-level watchlist webhooks for every post/comment/like, or X reply firehoses from pasted URLs.
Named people below are fictional. The timings are the point.
Elena Voss engages a competitor Linkedin post, her company posts a Sales Ops role, and she appears on a podcast about warehouse automation the same week.
On Clearcue: that is the stacking story. One like alone is noise. Three correlated indicators on the same person (or account) surface as a higher-intent alert into Slack or CRM, with AI qualification reducing false positives. Natural-language signal setup is how the team defined "VPs of Ops at mid-market logistics firms evaluating WMS."
On MultiFollow: we will not invent Elena from a podcast guest list or a job board. Unless someone already pasted her Linkedin (and optional X) URLs, MultiFollow never sees the stack. Do not buy MultiFollow hoping it replaces Clearcue's discovery engine.
Elena is already on Maya's Q3 account list. At 2:04pm she comments on Dockwise's pricing post:
"We're looking at replacing our WMS before Q4. The receiving module is the deal-breaker. Anyone actually happy with theirs after go-live?"
If the team only runs Clearcue: Elena may already be a qualified, stacked intent lead from other sources. What you may not get (unless you have also built a paste-URL activity pipe elsewhere) is a shared Slack ping at 2:04pm with the full comment text while the thread is still empty of vendors. Clearcue's strength is multi-source, AI-qualified intent. It is not marketed as MultiFollow-style anonymous per-profile activity webhooks for every post, comment, and like from URLs you paste.
If Maya's team is on MultiFollow Business: Elena's Linkedin person URL is a tracker (posts, comments, likes). At 2:04pm #signals-outbound shows the comment text and link. Maya replies on the thread at 2:11pm, then sends a short InMail that quotes Elena's own sentence. MultiFollow did not write the InMail. It made the sentence visible in time.
Competitor company page posts at 9:10am, 1:40pm, and 5:55pm.
On MultiFollow, a company-page tracker covers posts only. Each post can still fire its own email/Slack/webhook. Include keywords like pricing, receiving, hiring keep the culture fluff out.
Clearcue may surface Dockwise-related intent through competitor engagement signals, hiring patterns, or news (different output: qualified intent leads) rather than a raw post feed into #battles-dockwise.
"honestly drowning in Excel for yard management. if your WMS vendor says 'we do yards' ask them to show the Saturday shift, not the demo."
MultiFollow tracks X posts and replies (not likes). Add Elena's X URL with include keywords WMS, yard, Excel, replacing. The reply can be in Slack at 9:41pm.
Clearcue may include X/social activity inside broader intent definitions (verify current source coverage on clearcue.ai). It is still not a substitute for a dedicated named-watchlist firehose with per-tracker keyword filters and per-tracker webhook routing. If late-night X replies on named people are part of your motion, you need a watchlist tool (or accept missing them).
Fictional team: Maya (AE), Tom (SDR), Priya (RevOps). Warehouse software.
Define NL signals for ICP + competitor engagement + hiring + events. Route qualified, stacked alerts to Slack or CRM. Keep Clearcue MCP / AI workflows there if the team already uses them. MultiFollow will not replace that discovery layer.
Do not paste every Clearcue lead forever into MultiFollow. Paste the 25 people Tom and Maya will actually work this month: Linkedin person URLs, plus X URLs when the prospect is loud there, plus Dockwise / Northline company pages if competitor and account posts matter.
On Elena trackers include: WMS, warehouse, receiving, yard, labor, RFP, looking for, replace, pricing. Exclude: webinar, podcast, congrats, happy to announce.
Keywords do not filter likes. Plan for that.
Paid refresh is near real-time. Do not pilot reply-first selling on Free and conclude "signals are slow."
The Slack/Clay row is not the outreach. Maya still comments publicly, sends InMail from Sales Navigator or email from the sequencer, and, if Clearcue queued a stacked intent play, runs that play separately from the comment alert. MultiFollow never replaces the send button. Agents can maintain the MultiFollow watchlist via MCP on Business+; MCP does not stream the signals.
Saying this clearly is more useful than a feature grid.
If your motion is "find who is in-market across many sources and stack the signals," start with Clearcue. If your motion is "here are the 25 people in play: ping us when they speak," that is MultiFollow.
No. Only for the narrow slice where both care about Linkedin-related buying timing. MultiFollow does not discover net-new intent across jobs, conferences, podcasts, and news, and it does not AI-qualify or stack signals. If those are why you opened Clearcue, we are the wrong replacement. If you opened Clearcue and realized you mostly needed a webhook feed of a known list's posts and comments, we are the closer fit for that slice, and you may still want Clearcue (or another intent layer) alongside us.
No. We deliver each activity event as infrastructure. Stack, score, and enrich in Clay, n8n, Zapier, or your CRM. Clearcue markets stacking and AI qualification as core product.
No. We do not follow, connect, or message them. They are not notified. That is different from following someone on Linkedin from your company account.
Yes. A common stack: Clearcue for multi-source discovery and qualified intent; MultiFollow for near-real-time watchlist alerts on the shortlist; Clay / n8n / Zapier for enrichment and routing. Both can feed the same ops layer without fighting each other.
No. We track what accounts do on Linkedin and X: posts, comments, and likes (with the platform limits above). Job boards, conferences, podcasts, and news wires are out of scope.
Free ($0, 1 Linkedin + 2 X, best-effort, email only) to prove the pipe. Essential ($19, 5 + 10, near real-time, still email only) for a tiny solo watchlist. Business ($79, 25 + 50, Slack, webhooks, CSV, team, API, MCP) when the pod needs a shared feed. Enterprise ($199, 100 + 200) when the in-play list is larger. Plans are prorated.
No. We deliver the activity event (and expose tracker management via MultiFollow MCP on Business+). Your AE, sequencer, Clearcue, or Clay/AI column writes the message.
Clearcue is a multi-source GTM intent engine: discovery, AI qualification, and signal stacking across Linkedin, social, jobs, events, and more. MultiFollow is anonymous watchlist infrastructure: paste Linkedin and X URLs, get activity by email, Slack, or webhooks while the conversation is still open.
Choose Clearcue when finding and ranking in-market people across many sources is the pipeline. Choose MultiFollow when you already know the accounts and need reply-first delivery. Use both when intent discovery and activity instrumentation are both real jobs on the same team. They usually are.
If the watchlist approach fits, create a free account at dash.multifollow.io, add one high-value Linkedin profile, and wait for a post or comment. No card on Free. When the email proves the value, move to Essential or Business and connect Slack or Clay to those same trackers.
